Burnout and Stress
Depression is among one of the leading causes of
disability worldwide affecting
approximately 280 million people around the globe.
Let that number sink in for a bit…

280 million people.

Considering all the stars visible in all directions around Earth, the most generous estimates say there are less than 10,000 visible stars to the naked eye.
But 280 million people suffer from this physically and mentally debilitating condition.
And these symptoms don’t just switch off when we walk into work.

In today's fast-paced world, we often hear about the importance of forming good habits to improve our productivity and overall well-being.
However, NOT all habits are created equal, and some can actually lead to burnout and fatigue.
A HABIT LOOP is 3 step process that our brain uses to automate our behavior.
1. Cue or trigger
2. Followed by a routine
3. Ends with a reward
While habit loops can be helpful in automating positive behaviors, such as exercise or healthy eating, they can also lead to burnout if we repeatedly engage in negative routines that are triggered by stress or anxiety.

Personally, I am most susceptible to the “fix it” habit loop.
